Insulin is a hormone which, if not enough, it will lead you to diabetes. This hormone is responsible about converting starches, sugar and other food that we eat into body energy. You can already specify that you are positive with diabetes mellitus if your blood sugar or glucose elevated frequently. Hormones such as insulin and glucagons aid our body to sustain a regular level of blood sugar (glucose). Our liver is being aided by glucagons on the production of glucose from the cells going to our blood to make body energy.
Below are categories of Diabetes:
1. Diabetes - Type 1
2) Type 1 diabetes
3) Gestational diabetic issues
Diabetes type 1 and 2 can make everyone's life miserable and obstruct your normal life. If the breakdown of glucose completely stopped, our fats and proteins will substitute to function as producers of body energy. Malfunction like this will make some changes in our normal activities such as drinking a lot (polydipsia), frequently urinates (polyuria), change in appetite (polyphegia), over fatigue and a big weight lose. A person has a regular blood sugar if he or she has 70-110 mg/dl ("mg" stands for milligram and "dl" stands for deciliter) at the state of fasting. Based on studies, blood sugar lower than 70 mg/dl is called as Hypoglycemia and higher than 110 mg/dl is called Hyperglycemia.
