Diagnosing Crucial Diabetes Signs
>> Wednesday, October 12, 2011
The most distinctive indicator of both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes is that the body no longer produces insulin the way it usually does. Of course, this is not as recognizable as, say, the symptoms of the common flu. Often, this is only discovered when you visit your medical professional for another issue. The decrease of insulin is noticed when your blood or organs have testing done on them. Type 1, which usually gets diagnosed in a person's early ears, is almost always found because a doctor is trying to diagnose an infection.
Do your eyes suddenly go blurry without notice? This is something that you won't be able to see if it is happening to someone else. Talk to your doctor about having your insulin levels tested if you experience this symptom. Diabetes is also known as Diabetes Insipidus. It is caused when body fluid is pulled out of the tissues surrounding the lenses of your eyes. It makes your eyes work harder to focus. If you experience consistent blurred vision you probably just need to visit the eye doc for glasses. If it comes and goes, however, it could be a sign of diabetes so you should call your doctor if it happens to you.
There are times it can be an indication of a major sickness. During other moments, it could just mean you need to get more hours of sleep at night. However, when it is occurring because of diabetes, the fatigue is outrageous. Someone having to contend with this type of drowsiness probably gets more than enough sleep at night and, even if they are not very active, will often feel incredibly tired. This is the kind of drowsiness that is often times associated with mononucleosis and can be just as limiting. Keep track of your energy levels. If there is no explainable reason for you to be feeling so drained, contact your medical professional to have them run some tests.
One of the signs of diabetes that is more difficult to figure out, especially in yourself is when you feel a bit out of sorts. We all have days when we have trouble concentrating. If you all of a sudden feel agitated, confused or even irritable and can't decide why you're feeling that way, it could be due to you battling one of the signs of diabetes. It can be a cinch to observe in others but not so easy to see in yourself.
It's possible you don't even recognize that you're acting out of sorts. It's when someone asks "what's wrong with you" that you should find out. Occasionally it is just a bad mood. Infrequently, it is an indicator that something is not going the way it should internally and physically.
Symptoms can vary widely from one person to another. It all depends on the severity of the disease and how far along it is in your body. Some people may experience no symptoms at all. Others may show a whole range of common symptoms. The first line of defense is grasping why it's happening. If it's control of the disease you seek you must first recognize the symptoms.
